Delta now describes its standard economy-oriented product as Delta Main, with Basic, Classic and Extra travel experiences. The exact benefits and restrictions depend on the selected experience and itinerary.
1. Know the current naming
Delta Main is the standard economy-oriented product family, and Delta uses Basic, Classic and Extra travel experiences.
2. Understand Basic
Delta Main Basic is positioned as a lower-flexibility option with restrictions that can include seat assignment and travel-change limitations.
3. Compare the experience, not just the label
Classic and Extra can provide different levels of flexibility and benefits. The precise conditions should be checked for the itinerary.
4. Check the current rules
Travel experiences and restrictions can be updated, so confirm the current conditions before travel.
Airline rules, schedules, airport procedures and available travel experiences can change. Verify current details with the airline or airport that operates or manages your trip.
